Travel guide of Phalaborwa GateThe locals call him Cyrus. I was lucky enough to get a stare-down from him on an afternoon safari in the Kruger National Park. What an amazing creature and moment.

This beautiful female leopard killed a young kudu and dragged it into the high branches of a marula tree in the Klaserie Private Nature Reserve in South Africa. We were able to watch her feeding for just a few minutes before she left the tree and disappeared into the darkness.

I spotted Tsira on a trip to the Kruger National Park, South Africa. It’s not every day you get a leopard to pose like she did.

I met this dude on safari in Kruger National park in northern South Africa. The giraffes were easily in my favorite creatures to witness. They seemed almost prehistoric the the way the graced the African plain.

Walking to the bathroom in the Kruger National Park brought me very close to a herd of confident elephants, who awarded me with a few warnings when I got too close whilst taking pictures of them. This shot encaptures this elephants warning as he grunted and flapped his ears.

A short rest stop in the Kruger National Park welcomed a Southerly Yellow-Billed Hornbill to the tree above me. More commonly know as Zazu from The Lion King (Yup sadly he’s not really blue!). I like the little bit of attitude this one displayed as I got close to take the snap!

South Africa’s Panorama Route has a lot of impressive waterfalls and vistas, but half of them were obscured by fog on our trip. Luckily, I guess, since that sped up our trip and we only reached the Three Rondavels just before it was getting dark. This is one hell of a view!

Blyde River Canyon is one of the largest canyons on Earth. It has some of the deepest precipitous cliffs of any canyon on the planet. It is the second largest canyon in Africa, after the Fish River Canyon, and is known as one of the great wonders of nature on the continent.

We went on safari in October 2017. The northern parts of South Africa where we were, have suffered a crippling drought. While on game drive one day, we saw this elephant foraging for food in very dry vegetation. All we could do, was hope that it would soon rain…
